MADANGK-Pop Now: where our live journey started
A look back at the 2019 waterfront festival in Seattle, and the moments that shaped the K Madang stage.
Every stage has a first night. For K Madang, it was K-Pop Now — a summer festival on the Seattle waterfront in July 2019.
It brought K-pop fans, families and curious passers-by into the same open space, which is exactly what a madang is for. The idea that a concert could also be a courtyard — somewhere to meet people, not just watch a show — has shaped everything since.
From one festival to North American tours
After K-Pop Now came bigger stages: Baek Z Young in 2023, Koyote in 2024, Lee Moon Sae in Vancouver and Seattle in 2025, and Koyote again in 2026.
